Where Agents Go to Grow

Frequently Asked Questions

Not sure what to do next?

What is the difference between a coach and a mentor?

The role of your Productivity Coach at KWG is to help agents achieve the goal of closing six transactions in a time period that fits their life goals, while providing feedback and guidance for agents to continue building their business and "Cap" every year after completing the program.

In contrast, a mentor in real estate typically works one on one with a new agent to provide advice and support in a long term role without specific goals.

How do I access the PC Resources?

Bookmark our KWG Agent Site to access everything KWG has to offer, and navigate to the Productivity Coaching page for PC specific resources and access to the PC Community and Course.

What does engagement in the PC program, and more importantly, my real estate business look like?

Show up! PC Agent activity measured through frequency of access and completion of the online PC course, training attendance, and business activities such as setting up your database, practicing preparing forms, and logging new touches in Command.

Why do I have to register for classes?

Class registration and attendance drives our training calendar, and allows us to provide more training and events that align with what our agents are signing up for and attending.

Attendance is also tracked by the brokerage to meet our supervision requirements set by MREC. We offer many opportunities for learning, and agents are expected to attend training to stay up to date with industry standards. In the instance of a complaint, MREC can and will request documentation from a brokerage of training offered and the agent's attendance and participation in training.

How do I know I'm ready to meet with a client?

This isn't a question we can fully answer for you! We highly recommend you prepare yourself as much as possible, while at the same time understanding that you will gain confidence through experience. Take the time to role play client facing conversations, and learn the tools and how to navigate the resources that will allow you to provide the best possible experience to your client.

What should I do before meeting a buyer?

Review the steps in the Buyer Transaction section of the PC Course first, and get to know the stages of the transaction along with the buyer agreement paperwork. Join the 8:45 am meeting or an upcoming class to connect with other agents for additional support.

What should I do before meeting a seller?

You should review the Listing section of the PC course, and take time to walk through the pre-listing steps and review listing disclosures along with the listing presentation. The best practice is to complete a listing walk through of your own home (or close friend or relative!) to think through what questions should be asked along with what questions a home owner may have.

Attend upcoming classes to connect with other agents for practice and questions, along with your coach.

How do I prepare documents?

KWG offers two monthly options for learning about contracts, forms, and addendums through the Pitfalls and Preventions classes, along with additional opportunities in our Market of the Moment to learn about new revisions and updates. DocuSign how to's are in the PC Course, KW Connect, and Keller Williams' YouTube Channel. DocuSign classes are taught in person in the Market Center every other month. Practice scenarios are provided in the PC Course for you to build knowledge and skill before your client needs documents prepared.

Alternatively, you can use a document preparation and transaction coordination service such as Further Faster Services to prepare documents until you feel confident with the process.

Your Coach will provide feedback to document review requests. These requests should be sent to your coach PRIOR to your client signing, whether you or a service prepared the documents.

Coaches are not available to write documents with agents every time they need them prepared. You are responsible for learning, practicing, and preparing to be the best agent possible for your client.

What should I know when I close my 6th transaction?

Closing your 6th transaction means graduation from our program, and on your way to becoming a KWG Capper.

By this time, you should feel comfortable with the knowledge that you don't have all of the answers, and yet you've built a network of trusted professionals to lean on when you need them. Daily lead generation and income producing activities stay at the top of your priority list, and you are taking advantage of all of the resources our incredible brokerage offers.

You can continue coaching through the Growth Program, which is business building and growth oriented rather than focused on set up and transaction support.
